Welcome to the official web site of the Republic Agency for Spatial Planning of the Republic of Serbia
Republic Agency for Spatial Planning of the Republic of Serbia was established in order to provide conditions for the effective implementation and improvement of development policy and spatial planning in the Republic of Serbia.
On these pages you will get to know:
· planning documents issued in the Republic of Serbia,
· current activities and
· international cooperation in the field of spatial and urban planning.
Local authorities can directly participate in the updating of the state planning documents on the territory of their municipality, and become familiar with the documents issued in other municipalities.
One of the major tasks of the Agency in future is the preparation and adoption of the Spatial plan of Serbia, under the new Law on Planning and Construction (Official Gazette RS, No. 72/09).
We expect active participation of local authorities and experts in all activities in order to determine the long-term goals of spatial development of the Republic of Serbia in line with overall economic, social, environmental and cultural development.
The position of the Republic of Serbia in the constellation of European states, and the state of her physical development, indicates the necessity of the Spatial Plan of Republic of Serbia.
The new plan, which replaces the Spatial Plan of the Republic of Serbia (1996th), according to the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia (2006), confirmed by the Law on Planning and Construction (2009.), has several key tasks:
· to follow up Spatial Development Strategy of the Republic of Serbia (2009),
· to establish a new system of planning rules that regulate the protection, regulation and development in the Republic of Serbia and its regional units,
· to establish a correlation between physical-ecological, economic and social development on the principles of sustainable spatial development,
· to establish a rational framework for the achievement of strategic priorities, which will be achieved within the existing institutional normative system and
· to establish a system of indicators for monitoring the spatial development of the Republic of Serbia.
